In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL or TSL) via HTTPS.

Data collection when visiting our website

Each time you visit our web site, our system automatically collects data and information that your browser transmits to our server (so-called "server log files"). The following data, which is technically necessary for us, is collected:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the page
  • Operating system used
  • Browser used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymised form)

The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest due to our legitimate interest in improving the stability and maintaining the functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way. The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user's computer. For this purpose, the user's IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.

We reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

In the case of storage of data in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are deleted or alienated so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility for the user to object.

The above-mentioned purposes are also our legitimate interest in processing the personal data in accordance with our legitimate interest.

In addition, our website uses cookies that enable an analysis of the user's surfing behaviour (so-called third-party cookies). For more information on the scope, purpose, legal basis and objection options, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

If the e-mail contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is the provision of a contractual or pre-contractual measure. The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected and provided that there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary. For the personal data from the input mask of the contact form and those sent by e-mail, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation is ended when the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified. The user has the option to revoke his or her consent to the processing of personal data at any time. If the user contacts us by e-mail, he or she can object to the storage of his or her personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued.

Apart from that, our newsletters contain information about our products, offers, promotions and Kween Media. Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an e-mail in which you are asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with other email addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. The legal basis for the storage is your consent.

Suggesting notifications and emails about products and services that may be of interest to you.

We send e-mails and marketing information to suggest tailored product or service offers (including those of relevant third parties) that may be of interest to you based on your behaviour, preferences and our market segmentation strategies. We may do this by sending you special offers, promotions and other information by email or newsletter. We may also contact you to offer you the opportunity to participate in customer surveys, or promotions. The data is stored for as long as you continue to use our services. We will after that delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required by law to keep it for longer. The legal basis for the storage is our legitimate interest.

Use of affiliate programmes

We participate in performance advertising networks. In this tracking, our affilates store cookies for the documentation of transactions (e.g. of leads and sales) on end devices of users who visit or use web sites or other online offers of its users. These cookies serve the sole purpose of correctly assigning the success of an advertising medium and the corresponding billing within the framework of its network.

Only the information about when a particular advertising medium was clicked on by an end device is stored. In particular, an individual sequence of numbers is stored, which cannot be assigned to the individual user, with which the partner programme of an advertiser, the publisher and the time of the user's action (click or view) are documented. Our affiliates also collect information about the end device from which a transaction is carried out, e.g. the operating system and the calling browser. If the information should also contain personal data, the processing is based on our legitimate interest.

Win Vouchers and entering Competitions

We process personal data within the framework of contract initiation and contract fulfilment of the prize draw contract concluded between you and us. The processing is carried out in order to provide services, such as the fulfilment of any claim to the transfer of the prize offered as part of the competition. The legal basis for this is the provision of a contractual or pre-contractual measure. In the context of fulfilling and executing the contract, we process the data that you provided to us when concluding the contract or in the course of the contractual relationship. This includes in particular your name, surname, e-mail address.

Google Re/Marketing Services

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer we use the marketing and re-marketing services of Google.

Google's marketing services allow us to target advertisements for and on our website in order to present users only with ads that potentially match their interests. For these purposes, when our website and other websites on which Google marketing services are active are called up, a code is executed directly by Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") are integrated into the web site. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). This file records which web sites the user has visited, which content he or she is interested in and which offers he or she has clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring web sites, time of visit and other information on the use of the online offer.

The IP address of the user is also recorded, whereby we inform Google Analytics that the IP address is shortened and only in exceptional cases is transmitted in full to a Google server and shortened there. The IP address will not be merged with user data within other Google offerings. The aforementioned information may also be combined by Google with such information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other web sites, he or she may be shown ads tailored to his or her interests.

The user's data is processed pseudonymously as part of Google's marketing services. This means that Google does not store and process the name or email address of the user, for example, but processes the relevant data in a cookie-related manner within pseudonymous user profiles. I.e. from Google's perspective, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about users by Google marketing services is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers.

Google Universal Analytics

We use the web analytics service Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) for this web site. Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information thus generated about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is transmitted to a Google server and stored there, whereby a transmission to the USA is possible.

We use Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes direct personal reference. Your IP address is therefore shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server, also in the USA, and only shortened there. In these exceptional cases, this processing is carried out in accordance with our legitimate interest. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate your website usage, to create reports about website activities and to provide us with further services related to website and internet usage. Your IP address collected in this context will not be merged with other Google data.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following browser plugin.

Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

Within our online offer, the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook is used due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the web sites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

YouTube

We have integrated the services of YouTube by means of links on our web site. The data processing is carried out by: YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. If you click on the YouTube link, the YouTube web site is called up. By calling up the YouTube web site via our web site, we transmit the respective reference data to YouTube. YouTube thereby receives the information that you have visited our web site. The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest. Our legitimate interest results from the advertising function of social media. We use these to increase awareness of our company. We use social media to make our company better known. In addition, we would like to offer you the opportunity to become aware of our presence in social media via our web site. The data collected by YouTube (Google) is deleted after a fixed storage period. According to Google, this period is 9 or 18 months.

Integration Of Services And Contents Of Third Parties

We use within our online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests, content or services offered by third-party providers in order to integrate their content and services. This always requires that the third-party providers of this content are aware of your IP address, since the content or service could not send to your browser without the IP address. The IP address is thus required for the display of this content and we endeavor to use providers that only use your IP address for the delivery of the content or services. However, Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit and other information about the use of our online offer, as well as be linked to such information from other sources.

Social Media Functions and Widgets

Within our online offer, functions and widgets of Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram are integrated. When you click on or use any of those functions and widgets, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram . The function or widget then transmits log data to Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram . This log data may contain your IP address, the address of the visited websites, type and settings of the browser, date and time of the request, your usage of Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram , as well as cookies. Those may also include the display of our post, the link to our profile, the possibility to interact with the posts and functions, as well as to measure users reach (so-called conversion measurement).
