The Complete Guide to the adidas Originals x ASOS Collection 05
Snake print, peplums and a jewelled track top.
The fifth instalment of adidas Originals x ASOS is almost here, and it's the moodiest one yet. Think chocolate animal prints, a snake-print tracksuit and a track jacket with jewels around the neck. Early access opens on 15 October for ASOS.WORLD members, so if you want first pick, now is the time to get organised.
What is Collection 05?
Collection 05 is the autumn/winter chapter of the partnership that has turned the adidas track top into one of the most hunted pieces on the high street. ASOS's in-house designers take adidas Originals' sportswear codes (the three stripes, the trefoil, the funnel neck) and rework them with a fashion editor's eye.
This time the palette is rich and grown-up. Brown check, beige snakeskin, an abstract animal print in deep chocolate, herringbone and a single shot of cornflower blue. It's sportswear you could wear to dinner, which has always been the point.
ASOS gave the collection its first proper airing in a preview on its Style Feed on 9 October. It had already made its debut on the street: content creator Alicia Roddy (@lissyroddyy) wore it at London Fashion Week.

When does it drop?
Here's what's confirmed. ASOS.WORLD members on Tier 2 and above get exclusive early access on 15 October 2026. The general release date for everyone else is TK.
For context, Collection 04 opened to ASOS.WORLD loyalty customers on 29 July and to all shoppers the following day. ASOS hasn't said whether Collection 05 will follow the same pattern, so don't bank on it.
What is Tier 2? ASOS.WORLD is the retailer's loyalty scheme, and it has four tiers. Stylist (Tier 1) is free to join. Curator (Tier 2) kicks in once you've spent £100 or more over a 12-month period, not counting anything you've returned or cancelled. Above that sit Icon (£350+) and A-Lister (£750+).
So if you're on Tier 1 and want in on 15 October, check your progress in the ASOS app or under My Account. You can sign up and keep tabs on the drop via the Collection 05 preview page.
Prices and sizes: TK. As a guide only, Collection 04 ran from £35 to £120 in sizes XS to 2XL. Collection 05 is heavier on outerwear, including leather and faux fur, so expect some pieces to sit higher. We'll update this once ASOS confirms.

The three sets to know
Collection 05 is built around co-ords, and three of them are already clear front-runners.
The jewelled check track jacket. If you buy one thing, make it this. It's an overhead track jacket in brown check, with jewel embellishments scattered around the funnel neck. Sporty from the shoulders down, party from the collarbone up. It comes with matching barrel-leg track pants in the same brown check. Price TK.
The animal-print peplum set. A track jacket with a peplum waist, paired with track pants in a brown abstract animal print. The peplum is a recurring signature of the collaboration; Collection 04 had a check crinkle peplum track top too. It nips you in at the waist, which makes it far more flattering than a standard boxy track top. Price TK.
Zebra is the animal print of the season, and the deep chocolate base makes this tracksuit far easier to wear than black and white.
The snake-print set. An oversized track jacket and wide-leg track pants in beige snake print, finished with the three stripes and trefoil logo. Beige snakeskin works as a neutral, so this is the most versatile of the three. Price TK.
The snake-print set is the easiest to wear on repeat. Beige snakeskin reads as a neutral, so the jacket and trousers work just as well apart as they do together.
The outerwear
This is where Collection 05 feels most different from the summer drops. ASOS has previewed a full run of coats and jackets, all marked "coming soon":
• an oversized leather jacket
• an oversized faux fur coat in brown
• a funnel-neck coat in herringbone
• a jacket in cornflower blue
• an oversized tailored track jacket
• a track jacket with pleated panels
• an overhead track jacket in orange and pale yellow
The faux fur coat and the herringbone funnel neck are the ones we'd watch. Both take the collaboration somewhere it hasn't really been before: proper winter coats you'd wear over a dress, not just over a tracksuit. Prices for all of the above are TK.

How to wear it
The rule with this collaboration is simple: don't wear it like gym kit.
Break the sets up. The jewelled check jacket looks sharpest with dark straight-leg jeans and a slingback. The check barrel-leg trousers, meanwhile, work with a fine-knit roll neck and loafers for the office.
Dress the track pants up. Wide-leg snake-print trousers pooling over a pointed heel will carry you through party season. Add a fitted black knit and gold hoops and nobody will clock them as track pants until you tell them.
Layer the outerwear over the sets. A brown faux fur coat over the animal-print peplum set is a full look on its own. Keep everything else, from bag to boots, in black or chocolate.
Use the blue. The cornflower blue jacket is the one bright note in a collection of browns. Wear it with the brown check trousers for a colour pairing that feels very this season.

Why everyone wants it
Collection 05 arrives on the back of a strong run. ASOS says the first three womenswear collections all sold out, and each drop has pushed the idea a little further.
Collection 01 launched on 15 July 2025, designed in-house by ASOS and inspired by adidas archive pieces. Collection 02 followed on 30 October 2025, with an autumn-winter mood of cable knits, quilting and checks, plus a preview event in Manchester.
Collection 03 landed on 16 April 2026, anchored by the Firebird tracksuit in polka dot and gingham, with an in-store pop-up at adidas's Oxford Street flagship from 16 to 21 April. Collection 04 arrived in July, fronted by boxer and model Ramla Ali, alongside the partnership's first menswear range with footballer Noni Madueke.
a fusion of perspectives that feels current, expressive, and culturally relevant
Your drop-day game plan
Popular sizes in the hero pieces have a habit of going quickly. A little preparation goes a long way.
Check your tier now. Early access on 15 October is for Tier 2 and above. Log in to the ASOS app or My Account and look at the ASOS.WORLD hub. If you're close to the £100 threshold, a planned purchase before the drop could move you up. Tier changes can take up to an hour to show.
Watch your returns. To move beyond Curator, your item returns rate has to stay below 70% across your last five orders. Ordering three sizes and sending two back could hold you back.
Pick your priority piece. Decide in advance which item you'd be gutted to miss and head straight for it. For us, it's the jewelled check track jacket.
Know your size. The snake-print set and several jackets are cut oversized, so you may not need to size up. Check the fit notes on each product page once the collection goes live.
Get set up. Turn on ASOS app notifications, save your payment details and have your delivery address ready. Every second counts at checkout.
The verdict
Collection 05 is the most wearable adidas Originals x ASOS drop to date. The sets are strong, but the outerwear is what will give this collection a longer life in your wardrobe.
If you can only stretch to one piece, go for the jewelled check track jacket. If you want something you'll still be wearing next winter, look at the faux fur coat or the herringbone funnel neck.
We'll update this guide with prices, sizes and the general release date as soon as ASOS confirms them.
