When the words “smart casual” is used to describe either, what to wear at the office or even just to your friends birthday drinks it sends us into a bit of a frenzy. Like what does it actually mean?

Are jeans acceptable?

No idea! – And yet it’s a phrase uttered just as much as “jeans and a nice top.”

It’s the go-to dresscode for any occasion. It means we want you to make an effort, maybe brush your hair put on some jewellery, but don’t go all out. Comfort is key basically, but, with added details that say you’ve not just rolled out of bed and thrown it on.
